About the Ministry

The name, Who I AM, points people to the question Jesus asked His disciples in Matthew 16:15 (“who do you say that I am?”), and highlights God’s own name “I AM” (Exod. 3:14; John 8:58).

At the same time, the name Who I AM is also designed to invite people who have questioned their identity to find their true identity in their relationship with Christ and in God’s original design for the core of their being.

None of us will properly understand our true identity until we properly answer the question about Jesus’s true identity, as Peter did: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:16). The dual invitation (to know who Jesus is and who you are) is available to everyone, so in that sense ‘all are welcome.’

However, if anyone wants to experience the true life and freedom that God intended (John 10:10; Gal. 5:1), surrendering to God’s way of life is a necessary step (Luke 9:24). Although the culture and church can too often overlook the need for self-sacrifice amongst disciples of Christ, this concept is shown in Mark 8:34 and John 12:24-26: “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit” (John 12:24).

The best way to learn who we are, is to follow Him. Jesus came to us so we could come to Him.

Let's follow Him together!

Who I AM is a Christian ministry designed to especially benefit:

1) People who are questioning who they are, and

growing towards alignment with the LGBTQ+ community,

2) People who are currently part of the LGBTQ+ community,

3) People who have chosen to leave the LGBTQ+ community.

Who I AM is a Christ-centered truth-based ministry that

seeks to love and support individuals, without affirming

the LGBTQ+ lifestyle.

About Us

Who I AM was created in 2025 by the following two Christians, who have both been called by God to LGBTQ+ ministry:

1) Patrick Finn: A man of God who came out of the LGBTQ+ lifestyle, and is now on fire with passion for Jesus (read his testimony         ). He currently leads a house church, and he is eager to help bring revival to the LGBTQ+ community and put an end to complacent Christianity.

2) Katherine Cardiff: A woman of God who has been on a lifelong journey with Jesus, and can relate to those who experience issues of identity (e.g., fear of not being good enough) and spiritual attacks. She recently completed a seminary degree that God called her to pursue, and she is passionate about God’s design for family.
